Doing what is right does not always come easy.

However, your determination to always do right will help you through difficult situations. A friend once said, ‘Do what is right always, not what is easy’ and I totally agree with this. What do you say about this?

Now, to my fellow writers, there are urges new writers will face. As you start your career in writing, be mindful of and do not give in to these urges:

1. You want to move quickly through writing projects to make fast money.

2. You want to take up all writing projects you see on platforms, even when it is not your niche.

That urge to move fast can only result in you delivering a project not up to the quality standard you promised your client earlier. As much as a new writer desire to become a big fish soon, I tell you, slow and steady wins the race here. Mind you, being slow should not stop you from being strategic and efficient. However, never rush through a project just because you want to move on to a new one quickly. If you want a writing career that will stand firm, do not build it on mistakes and poor-quality services.

Patience is a virtue, and therein lies your power as a writer. My last words to you are:

Before you move on from any project you have been hired for, ensure you do well. That way, the client has only good things to say about you. Let your client see your value and feel your absence when you move on. Your reputation as an excellent writer must be checked if your client feels relieved or pleased to see you leave when your project phase is completed.

Dear freelance writer, never forget to leave an impressionable experience with your clients.
